Race Day Info
Safety
All traffic laws must be obeyed. Keep to the left at all times.
- All entrants participate at their own risk (as signed on the entry form during registration online or on the day).
- Wear your Safety Standards approved cycle helmet as required by law.
- Obey the course marshals’ directions – they are for your own safety.
- The object is to have fun and complete the event.
- Do not ride on aero bars when you are in a bunch.
- If you are riding in a bunch then read our Bunch Riding Notes, which can be downloaded from our website or sent to you by request.
Local, event and emergency traffic will be using Park Road near Albert Park. The course is completely open to other traffic.
Expect to meet vehicles on all roads - keep to the left at all times
Reception/Registration
Reception is at the Te Awamutu Sports Club, Albert Park Drive, Te Awamutu. Sunday 22nd of November from 8am to 9.15am.
At Reception/sign on
- Pick up your - ride Number - Sticker for Helmet
- Check minor spot prize area to see if you have won something
- Collect any goodies available
- Check maps and programme on display
- Collect your electronic timing device
- Listen for instructions
- Have a great ride

Travelling to Te Awamutu and Parking
There is limited parking due to the closure of the parking area near the cricket pavilion as Sport Waikato are running children’s events in that area, and the closure of the town end of Park Road.

Course Information
All roads are sealed, are of a good national standard and the entire course is well sign posted and marshaled. Please refer to the course map. An area to watch out for is the narrow bridge on the bottom of the windy decent on Oreipunga Road.
Electronic Timing
Electronic timing will be in place as per last year. Attachment instructions are available and people will be on hand to assist as you cross the line the electronic timing device will be collected.
The penalty for a lost timing devise is $50
Portaloos
Portaloos are at the Team changeover points, at “Out in The Styx” Pukeatua, and Karapiro Domain.

All rides except the children’s events finish at the Albert Park end of Park Road.
After you finish
- The timing device will be collected as you cross the finish line ($50 if not returned).
- Enjoy the entertainment
- Check at HQ to see if you have won a minor spot prize
- Prize giving at 2.15pm
- Please don’t litter
